Ms. Tamayo has been a practicing Lawyer and Senior Executive for over 31 years. She has dedicated her professional life and career to serving the citizens of the State of Florida. She has served as the legal advisor to Agency heads and Senior Executive Management on complex legal and policy issues.

She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Emory University and her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta. Throughout her career, Josie has served as the General Counsel for 5 state agencies.

She is a member of the Tallahassee Bar Association, the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Legal Needs of Children Committee. She frequently serves as the keynote speaker for the United States Naturalization Ceremony, the Florida State University College of Law Women’s Symposium and raises funds for the Girl Scouts of the Panhandle. She is a Certified Supreme Court Family Law Mediator and Arbitrator and is currently establishing a Mediation and Consulting practice to assist individuals with their disputes and how to navigate the state and local government framework.

She enjoys spending time with her family and being a role model and mentor to women in the legal profession.

Glenda Thornton is Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives at the FSU College of Law. Before joining FSU Law, Thornton served as General Counsel at the Florida Lottery and as a Litigation Partner for many years at Foley & Lardner and Bateman Harden.  She is such an active community leader that both communities in which she has lived have each honored her by proclaiming Glenda Thornton Day. Her hometown, Mobile, Alabama did so on July 18, 1999 and Tallahassee declared October 7, 2008 Glenda Thornton Day in recognition of her “unwavering commitment to community service.”

Her leadership has included serving as Chairman of many boards, including the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Big Bend, Leadership Tallahassee, and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare as well as chairing the United Way of the Big Bend’s 75th Anniversary Campaign. Before graduating from FSU’s law school in 1989, she served as an Articles and Notes Editor for the Florida State University Law Review, had an article published and as a member of the Moot Court Team, won a national championship. She also received the law school’s 2005 Distinguished Alumni Award and previously served on its Board of Visitors.

Glenda has been a long time supporter of LSNF, between serving on LSNF’s 30th Anniversary Endowment Fund Committee and her incredible contributions that inducted her into the Founders of Justice Society. The LSNF Tallahassee office’s client intake coordinator plaque bears Glenda Thornton’s name as a reminder of her continuous fight for justice.

Jack Campbell

Mr. Campbell is the elected State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida which consists of six counties: Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Liberty, Wakulla and Franklin. Mr. Campbell sits on the board of several organizations, including Refuge House, Boy Scouts of America, Leadership Tallahassee, the Boys and Girls Club, and Young Actors Theater. He has also been involved in the Community Leadership Council on Gun Violence, American Cancer Society, the Tallahassee Exchange Club, Tiger Bay Club, and the William H. Stafford Inns of Court.

Jami Coleman

Jami is a partner at Williams & Coleman, P.A., where she focuses on estate planning, probate administration, real estate, business, and tax matters.  A graduate of FSU’s College of Law and Georgetown University Law Center, Jami teaches corporate and federal income tax at FAMU School of Business. She has volunteered with LSNF, FSU Veterans Clinic, Legal Aid Foundation Tallahassee, Tallahassee Bar Association, LeMoyne Art Center, and others. Of her many accomplishments, she is a Class III fellow with the Wm. Reece Smith Florida Bar Leadership Academy, fellow with RPPTL Section of the Florida Bar, 2017 and 2018 Rising Star with Florida Super Lawyers, TBA’s 2017 Thomas M. Ervin, Jr. Distinguished Young Lawyer Award recipient, and the 2016 Nation’s Best Advocate Under 40 by the National Bar Association. Jami’s most notable accomplishments are her beautiful children.

Carol Dover

As the President and CEO of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, Mrs. Dover works to protect, educate, and promote the diverse interests of Florida’s hospitality industry since 1995. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Restaurant Association, Council of State Restaurant Associations, International Society of Hotel Association Executives, VISIT FLORIDA, Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors, Florida TaxWatch and the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park.

Jimmy Fasig

Mr. Fasig is a managing partner and attorney at Fasig & Brooks Law Offices in Tallahassee, Florida.
Jimmy has had numerous multimillion and million dollar recoveries. In 2015, he was listed in the nation’s top 1% of lawyers when he obtained a 5.4 million dollar verdict and a 3.1 million dollar judgment from a jury trial in Gadsden County, Florida. Jimmy has witnessed firsthand the way insurance companies and big businesses take advantage of people, and he has developed a strategy he calls the “full court press” strategy for achieving justice for his clients. He loves being a lawyer, and he loves fighting for his clients in front of a jury.

Debra Henley

Debra Henley is the Assistant Dean for Career Services and Professional Development at Florida State University College of Law. She developed and teaches the “Florida Legislative Practice” course at the law school. Prior to FSU, she served seven years as the Executive Director of the Florida Justice Association and was also the association’s Legislative Director for 18 years. Debra is currently a member of the CLE Committee of the Florida Bar, and the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee. She serves as a career mentor for “Ladies Learning to Lead” and conducts mock interviews for FCI Big Bend “After Reentry” program.

Rachel Borntreger

Rachel Borntreger is a family law attorney at the Law Office of Linda A. Bailey, practicing litigation and family-focused alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and collaborative divorce. A Tallahassee native, Rachel is dedicated to serving our community as a Rotarian with Tallahassee Sunrise Rotary, a mentor for Legal Aid Foundation’s Thunderdome program, and a volunteer Guardian ad Litem.   Rachel is also a journeyman potter, member of LeMoyne Center for the Arts and lover of her German Shepherd, Sam.

Neil St. John Rambana

Mr. Rambana is a managing partner at Rambana & Ricci, PLLC and was described by New Yorker magazine as “an experienced immigration attorney”. He concentrates on criminal immigration issues and regularly represents clients before U.S. Immigration Courts across the country. He has served as Congressional liaison for the American Immigration Lawyers Association and was Vice President of the International Affairs Council.

Brandi Thomas

Brandi Thomas is a partner at the Akbar Law Firm. Brandi is a legal professional whose primary areas of practice are Family Law and Personal Injury. Brandi is skilled in adoptions, family mediation and bankruptcy. She is active in her community, giving back in the areas of child welfare, economic development and social issues affecting the minority community. She is involved in several legal and community service organizations and is committed to providing pro-bono services to people that cannot afford legal representation.
