Betsy Brown is a personal injury lawyer with Fasig Brooks. She dedicates her career to helping her clients come back stronger from injuries and setbacks. She loves dogs and animals of all kinds, and as a breast cancer survivor, her passion is to educate, support, and advocate for anyone facing this diagnosis. She is the proud mom of three beautiful children and one beautiful French bulldog. She enjoys reading, college football (Auburn and FSU), and traveling and is very excited to be representing her firm and the legal community!

Jon Fuchs

Jon's Fundraising Page

Jon Fuchs moved here from Houston, Texas to attend Florida State University and to spend time with his father.

After graduating, Jon worked with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).  There he championed a Nutritional Education Program designed to assist people with expanding the purchasing and nutritional powers of their food stamps.

After leaving DCF, Jon pursued a legal career, attending Nova Southeastern Law School and earned his Juris Doctor Degree in 2002.  He began working at the Office of the State Attorney, Second Judicial Circuit. Jon has served all counties in our area and proudly represented Leon, Jefferson and Wakulla counties as a Division Chief since 2007.

In his spare time, Jon enjoys boating, fishing, golf, hunting, SCUBA diving and traveling.

Renée Gordon

Renée S. Gordon has worked as an attorney in Florida for over 22 years. She has devoted herself to the public interest, working for the Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Senate, as a Bureau Chief at the Office of the Attorney General, and now as a Hearing Officer for the Department of Financial Services.

Renée has been a member of the Tallahassee Bar Association, Tallahassee Barristers Association, Tallahassee Women Lawyers, and the Florida Government Bar Association.

Renée is proud of her time spent with Legal Services of North Florida (“LSNF”) where she volunteered for several years. She also served as Vice President then President as a board member for LSNF.

After starting dance and piano lessons at a young age, Renée went on to perform in both.

Meghan Munroe Lisson

Established in 1936, Tallahassee’s oldest appliance store was purchased by Ray & Peggy Munroe in 1974 becoming Mays-Munroe Appliances & Sleep Center. This family-owned business has become a cornerstone within our community and a source of entertainment with their legendary commercials.

Meghan Munroe Lisson was most definitely a child born into a family business. Working from a young age, and disregard for all child labor laws, she currently works alongside her brothers and Peggy to continue the legacy.

Meghan’s daily work now entails both sales and management of a young family of 3 beautiful girls with her husband Robert. Although Meghan does not expect this event to be the launch of her “Dancing Career”, she is a graduate of Florida State’s Music Therapy Program and is known by many as a successful Singer.

Heather Ross

Heather Ross is a Senior Associate Attorney General for Criminal Appeals for the State of Florida. Ms. Ross works to uphold criminal convictions to ensure offenders are held accountable for their actions. She has been with Attorney General’s office for more than 17 years.

Heather graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL in 2006. She received her Master of Education from Auburn University in 2003 and her B.S. from Furman University in 2001.

Heather enjoys rooting on her Auburn Tigers and watching her kids excel in sports. She is a member of William H. Stafford Inn of Court and serves as a member of the American Inn of Court Program Awards Committee. Heather lives in Tallahassee with her husband Jared and their two children Hannah and Jacob.

Angela Green-Sherrod

Angela Green-Sherrod is the Public Information Officer for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. In her role, Green-Sherrod is LCSO’s Spokesperson and serves as the central source for coordinating the release of information to the news media and the community. Prior to joining LCSO in October 2021, Green-Sherrod was a News Anchor for Tallahassee’s ABC affiliate, WTXL.

Green-Sherrod is an award-winning journalist. During her career, she’s produced undercover camera investigations and worked as a field producer for NBC News Channel.

Angela and her husband live in Tallahassee. They have two sons and a pit bull, named Baby. When she’s not working, she’s most likely cooking, eating, OR trying to keep up with her oldest son, who is now a freshman at Loyola University New Orleans.

Kelly Kibbey Smith

Kelly Kibbey Smith is Of Counsel at Dean, Mead & Dunbar, and Ryan Smith is a Political Consultant. Kelly represents the 2nd Judicial Circuit on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors and is a past President of the Florida Government Bar Association. Ryan has worked in Florida politics for nearly two decades and has led many legislators and members of congress to victory. They met in 2017 and married in 2020. They are active members of St. John’s Episcopal Church where you can frequently hear their toddler, Lawrence, offering his comments during the Sunday service. They are also parents to two big dogs with big personalities. In their little spare time, Kelly hikes and Ryan reviews movies. Neither Kelly nor Ryan are known for their dance abilities.

Crystal Stephens

Crystal Stephens is an assistant general counsel and supervisor at the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.  Crystal has served the state of Florida for over ten years as she has previously provided legal services for state agencies in the areas of real estate regulation, workers compensation compliance, and other administrative areas. She also currently serves as a board director for the Tallahassee Bar Association and was a class 6 participate of Thunderdome Tallahassee—a Legal Aid Foundation training program.

Crystal was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys domestic and international travel, spending time with family and friends, movies, and giving back to the community.

Ray Thompson

Ray Thompson is the Tallahassee area Market President for Ameris Bank. He has been married to his beautiful bride, Lindsay, for 31 years and they have two children, Raymond and Emma. Raymond and his wife Sarah have blessed Ray and Lindsay with two beautiful grand girls. Ray has worked in the banking industry for 24 years and has experience in retail, small business and commercial banking. He’s a graduate of The Florida State University, Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida and The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Ray has served on numerous chamber, EDC and community boards, he is an active Rotarian and served in the US Army. Ray is an avid outdoorsman and loves traveling with Lindsay.

Eddie Williams is a partner at Holland & Knight’s Tallahassee office where he practices in the firm’s Healthcare Section. Mr. Williams is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Regulatory & Enforcement Practice Group.

Mr. Williams is experienced in assisting and advising clients with state and federal healthcare regulatory issues including compliance, HIPAA and data privacy.

Mr. Williams enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching and talking sports, and giving back to his community. Mr. Williams lives in Tallahassee with his wife, Tanisha Williams, and their daughter, Brittney Williams.
