An attorney and consultant, her career has focused on legislative and executive branch matters such as economic development, state procurement, education, and more. Her experience spans emergency disaster response and recovery, corporate philanthropic giving, and managing corporate initiatives in Florida in partnership with state and local governments. Monesia recently managed the national government relations strategy for North Highland Management Consulting. Prior to joining North Highland, she served as the Director of Public Affairs and Government Relations for Walmart Inc. Her legal career spans both private and public sectors. She serves as a member of the Tallahassee State College Board of Trustees, Chair of the Florida Youth Foundation and a member of The Children’s Movement of Florida. She is married to Junious Brown III and they share two sons, Jay and Evan Brown. She enjoys traveling, wine tasting and the beach.
