Betty Jensen’s dedication to international education led her after retirement from Tallahassee Community College where she built the International Student Services Office, to Florida State University, where she continues to assist the international student population, which she is more passionate about. Her work with students from diverse global backgrounds instilled in her a desire to explore nearly 100 countries and islands. She feels enriched daily by the knowledge and cultural experiences gained from her interactions. She is very proud of having established an annual state leadership program for globally minded American and international students to convene in Central Florida for a weekend of leadership development, cultural exchange and global citizenship. Betty is a proud alumna of Leadership Tallahassee Class 30, an active Rotarian serving as District Rotary Youth Exchange Program Chair, and a board member of the Florida Association of International Educators and the Southern Scholarship Foundation.
